Within the framework of elaboration of the anti-crisis plan, on Tuesday Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman met with representatives of the Ukrainian business and leading experts to discuss the top-priority steps to revive national economy with.

"We have been in a quite complicated economic situation for already several months. It is very important to end every discussion touching this situation with a clear and precise action plan: what we have to do to stabilize the situation, what the Ukrainian Parliament has do to change the situation in the real sector of economy," Groysman said.

The Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada informed that after the adoption of the State Budget of Ukraine for 2016, he initiated the establishment of a workgroup at the Secretariat of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to analyze the adopted budget. He added that respective work is also underway in relevant committees of the Ukrainian Parliament.

"We are searching for decisions able to help us improve the economic situation, the way of doing business against the background of current challenges," Groysman said.

The Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada also said that the Ukrainian Parliament had introduced the practice of holding topic-based days to consider issues touching specific fields of life, inter alia the ones related to the economy.

Groysman noted that Ukraine is seeing certain progress in the deregulation, state service reform, however, in his words these changes were not enough.

"The issue of employment of the population, the issue of good salaries are the most important issues at the moment. If we settle the those, I am confident, 90% of other problems will be tackled automatically," the Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada said.

In turn, the experts present at the meeting highlighted a number of problems hampering the development of national economy and demanding immediate regulation: de-shadowing of the business; simplification of taxation and accounting, provision of equal competition conditions, etc. Besides, in their words the country needs judicial reform, health care sector reform, and completion of the state service reform.

The participants in the discussion noted that the activity aimed at stimulation of the development of the country's economy should base on the principles of supremacy of law, combating of corruption, and deregulation. Such actions will facilitate creation of comfortable environment for small and mid-sized business, increase the number of jobs and facilitate the development of economy.
